November, 2 Gallatin Refugee Connections, in cooperation with Soft Landing of Missoula and the International Rescue Committee (IRC), is sponsoring a collection drive to help refugee families start their new lives in Missoula. Volunteers will meet at the Fork & Spoon, 302 N 7th, Bozeman to assemble kits for each room in the house. We have held an annual holiday bazaar for the community for 36 years now, at which we sell home-baked goodies - cookies, candy, pies, etc. We also serve a soup and bread luncheon and host vendors from the Gallatin Valley selling arts & crafts, photography, woodworking, crochet/knitting, jewelry, hand sewn items, etc. This event has historically been very popular - allowing people to pick up some early Christmas gifts and buy unique Montana items while supporting the community.

This year we are very short in volunteers to help us with this Saturday event. We need people to help in the kitchen, put out cookies for sale, serve soup, distribute coffee and pie, wash dishes, collect money, set up and bus tables, etc. The Bazaar runs from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Nov. 9th. If you could give us a hand, we promise we will feed you well!

The Gallatin Valley Food Bank's mission is to improve food security in Southwest Montana, and funds raised from Huffing for Stuffing support the GVFB's efforts in our community.
