RESOLUTION OF THE SENATE OF THE ASSOCIATED STUDENTS OF MONTANA STATE UNIVERSITY

Whereas, The Streamline Latenight Program provides safe and free rides home from downtown Bozeman to residents of the community from 8pm-2:30am Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights; and,

Whereas, The routes have not been updated since the creation of the Streamline Latenight Program by the Associated Students of Montana State University in association with the Human Resource and Development Council and the Bozeman Police Department; and,

Whereas, New apartment complexes and trends in college student housing have changed the dynamics of Bozeman’s bus services and the new routes will reflect these demographic changes; and,

Whereas, The Downtown route requires minor changes including the addition of several stops which are regularly requested; and,

Whereas, The Upstream route will be changed from a single, one-hour loop to two half-hour loops getting passengers to where they are going sooner, safer and more efficiently including stops on Cottonwood, Wal-Mart and along Main Street; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, That the Associated Students of Montana State University support the updated Streamline Latenight routes to increase ridership, rider safety and satisfaction while decreasing ride time.
